Congratulations, pregnancy is an amazing adventure! Sattva is excited to bring this 6 week series of classes specifically designed for the journey of pregnancy and childbirth.
Our goal is to help you stay as safe, comfortable and strong as possible while your body changes to accommodate the new life growing inside you. Using safely modified yoga postures linked with the breath this program will help strengthen the pelvic muscles, improve circulation, aid in digestion, exercise the spine and increase overall comfort as well as preparing you physically and mentally for the efforts of labor. Yoga can also alleviate many of the discomforts of pregnancy such as varicose veins, swelling, constipation, back pain and sciatica.
These classes will offer a safe, open community of other expecting moms allowing you to freely discuss any issues, from discomforts and concerns, to the wonderful new changes your body and baby are experiencing.
May Lane, E-RYT® 200, RPYT®, YACEP®, has focused her teaching on pre and postnatal care in Jersey City, Hoboken and Weehawken for the last several years . A mother of 2 young boys herself, her compassionate teachings keep her mamas safe, strong, and hopeful. She creates an environment of inclusion where expecting mothers can laugh, sweat, cry and befriend one another. She believes that strong bodies and strong minds lead to more joyful births and quicker recoveries.
